Evaluating TESSM1
Burn Technology Co.,Ltd., a headphone manufacturer founded in 2004,
always can give us some pleasant surprise. Such as the item BE200, having
its own intellectual property right, high cost-effective and overthrowing the
traditional surface, gave people a deep impression!
Now, I have the newest item from Burn, TMSSM TM1. Whether it can
make the glories of BE200 continuously? I’m eager to look forward it!
BE200 was rich in fitting parts, well, TM1 is more overwhelming by
surpassing BE200. A red delicate wood box that is elegant enough to put
jewelries. Inside this pretty box, accessories are also exquisite, there is a
small flannel bag, one piece of crystal string for MP3, a small cramp as well
as two sets of sponge cover, one piece of extension cord, warranty book,
instruction book as well as two jack connectors, one is 2.5mm to 3.5mm the
other is 3.5mm to 2.5mm. So we needn’t to worry about if the jack connector
suit or not. The most favorable point is that, it enclosures a VIP card, you can
buy TM1 free or at some discount if you have this card.
As to its appearance, many people think it is much like CM7 from Audio-
Technica. When I check it in my hand, I found it is far from CM7, and BURN
has applied for patent. So it is ridiculous to say TM1 copied CM7. The color
of TM1 returned to the ancient ways. In addition, I’m also interested in its
wire. Due to the vectran, its useful has been extended. When you pull it
towards to the two ends it will revive as the same. I think it is important to the
one who does not care too much about his headphones

damage rate. The jack connector was made by 3.5mm gilded plug with great
craftsmanship. Either its accessories or its crafts, TM1 fully showed its
humanism.

With the experience of my using headphones of normal price, the more
accessories is , the poorer it will be. But to BE200, I should change this point
of view. TM1 indeed has a high quality as the same as BE200. It seems that
concentrating on high quality is a tradition of BURN.
I like CD, when test, I plug TM1 into NE9 of SONY. After running in a
period of time, the sound was gradually extending. Now it’s time to test.
The first piece of song is “Ending Is Not The Result I Want” from Jacky
Cheung,I’m much fond of it. Within his soulful voice, some kind of strong
emotion was completely expressed. TM1 did a great job at the beginning of
instrumentation, mellow and exquisite because of its fine analysis. It is good
in separation and exact in voice position, however , a little weak at man’s
voice.
The second piece is “Shadow” from Faye Wong. This piece of song was
produced so wonderful that it was quite welcomed by public, which I needn’t
to say more. Wong’s voice is very sweet, exquisite, and clear when it was
played by TM1 at high frequency, making the voice extended to unlimited
space. But the weakness lies in the bass voice lack of shaking, which make
me a little disappointed. Yet, its defect still can not obscure its virtues, TM1
performed very well on female’s voice.

The Wind Of Change collected in the album of Wonderland from
Bandari, which is a killer to those earphones that weak at high frequency or
lacking of voice position. At the beginning of this tune, sound of wind came
back and forth, when is just the time to test TM1. As a result, TM1 reverted its
direction as expected. The other character of this tune lies in high frequency
requirement, and TM1 did a good job with ease according to this
requirement. As far as I’m concerned, TESSM TM1 was specially produced
for light music, right?
In conclusion, TM1 works very well on sound extension at high frequency;
mellow and sweet at medium frequency; but lacking of low frequency. On the
other hand, it has a thick and heavy sound field, making voice around.
Compare with its brother BE200, it has been improved. We also can see
that BURN is always making progress to perfect. After all, it set the price at
hundred level and rich in accessories, what more can we ask? Hope BURN
growing stronger and stronger!
